associated with smart cards, but we have also
been involved in many other unrelated projects.

Access
Control |
Controlling the
entrance to buildings by means of a
biometric Hand Reader. The Hand
Reader calculates the palm signature and
allows access according to a database
stored in the Reader or in a remote PC. |

Software |
Also known as Ashrait 96 - a
specification for handling credit cards
in Israel and written by SHVA. The
written software dealt with identifying
the swiped card, checking its validity (stolen
etc.), checking for proper transaction
amount limits, displaying the proper menu
for the method of payment (regular, debit
immediate, deferred payments, etc.) and
printing the transaction receipt. The
software also handled the serial
communications protocol and process with
the central computer.
